It's been 27 years since The Suburbs released an album of new material. Thanks to Kickstarter and a creative surge on the part of the band members, The Suburbs have just released a new album, Si Sauvage.

The Current's Steve Seel and Jill Riley sat down with the members of the Suburbs to talk about the new album and to explore the band's history; specifically, who or what brought the band together in the first place and the possible reasons for why they were never commercially successful.

The Suburbs also reflect on their Kickstarter campaign and fan support, the reasoning behind the album title, why they decided to get back together, and who those "dumbass kids" might be.
