This weekend the annual Nobel Prize Ceremony will take place in Sweden, though Bob Dylan, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, will not be attending. Further, Dylan took more than a month to RSVP no, he would not be accepting his prize in person. That's not to say Bob isn't grateful for the honor – he penned a acceptance speech to be read at the Nobel Banquet in Stockholm and booked Patti Smith to sing "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" on his behalf.

So while Bob remains, ahem, reserved about his achievements, we're going all-out. That's where you come in, Bob Dylan fan! The Current's #BobDylanIsLit Video Contest is opportunity for you to share your favorite Bob Dylan lyrics while giving your best impersonation of the Hibbing, Minn. native. What we're looking for: accuracy (both in voice and look) and humor. Have fun! Be creative!

To enter you just need to post a video reciting or singing your favorite Bob Dylan lyrics with your best impersonation on your Twitter or Instagram account using the hashtag #BobDylanIsLit (we know, right), tag and follow @TheCurrent. You could win a prize pack of Bob Dylan vinyl, CDs and photos valued at $170! Submissions will be accepted Dec. 8 through Dec. 12, 2016, so hop to it! (We'll archive submissions below!) Read the Official Rules.

We're taking the celebration even further because if Bob doesn't, someone has to. On Saturday, Dec. 10, The Current will celebrate Dylan's Nobel Prize in Literature by playing a song every hour that earned him this prestigious honor. If you want to really celebrate, stream Local Current to hear 24 hours of Bob Dylan music.

Our inspiration? For our 10th anniversary, The Current hosted an #LPme Photo Contest and had so much fun sifting through listeners' submissions that we thought we'd re-imagine the concept to commemorate Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize in Literature!

Jimmy Fallon did a pretty impressive Bob Dylan impersonation. Think this, but with Bob Dylan lyrics – not Drake.

We can't wait to see what you come up with for The Current's #BobDylanIsLit Video Contest.
