Justin Townes Earle's new album is called Kids In the Street. It's already his eighth album, but it's the first time he has called upon an outside producer. Mike Mogis, of Bright Eyes fame, was enlisted to produce this one, which was recorded at Mogis's Omaha, Neb., studio.

Kids In the Street finds Earle in a bluesy and sentimental mood, reminiscing about his life in Nashville, Tenn., from his mid-teens to mid-20s.

For our DJ Pick of the Week, I chose the sweet and catchy song, "Maybe A Moment," which shows a hint or two of Bruce Springsteen as Justin Townes Earle sings about a small town where nothing happens, so why not hop in the car and drive to Memphis? After all, it's a place that has inspired many of Justin Townes Earle's songs.

The video for the song was shot in JTE's adopted hometown of Portland, Ore., and it was directed by Alicia J. Rose.
