Wednesday marks the two-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder by a Minneapolis police officer, setting off protests for racial justice on a global scale.

Two years on, people are gathering and remembering; there are a number of events in the Twin Cities area to commemorate George Floyd and the racial-justice movement that was further propelled by his tragic death. Although there has been some change in the past two years, the work for racial justice and equality is ongoing.

Music has a way of expressing our frustrations and anguish as well as our hopes and aspirations. It can motivate us to work for the change we want to see. So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs about justice, equality and civil rights do you want to hear?
