According to the website Days of the Year, every March 27 is Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day, a holiday created by Pennsylvania couple Tom and Ruth Roy, who specialize in creating holidays like this one when they’re not selling herbal products and remedies.

Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day is exactly what it says it is — a day to celebrate country music’s silly song titles, like Johnny Cash’s 1968 song, “Flushed from the Bathroom of Your Heart” or Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty’s 1978 collaboration, “You’re the Reason Our Kids Are So Ugly.”

But country music is not the only genre to have quirky song titles. The rock-influencing skiffle artist Lonnie Donegan had a Billboard Hot 100 hit (it peaked at No. 5) in 1961 with “Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavour (On the Bedpost Overnight?).” Certainly many artists in rock, pop, hip-hop and other genres have written songs with titles that are magnificent wordplays, outwardly funny, purely unexpected, entirely nonsensical, grimace-inducing puns or just downright goofy. Let’s highlight some of those songs today.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs with quirky titles do you want to hear?
